Closer to Home: The Lark Sparrow

So this is technically close to the in-laws’ home, but who’s counting? This post is actually a bit of I-Spy (since the other half and I need some practice at it).

Fun fact: Lark sparrows are the only members of their genus, Chondestes. They are (luckily) relatively easy to identify because they have distinct stripes on their heads.

If you can see the bird, give yourself a pat on the back and go play some more I-Spy with your family.
